GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

School Standards Board

Our Schools Standards Board (SSB) meets once per half term. Our SSB provides the local governance function for our schools which fits within the overall governance structure of GLF Schools. Further information about governance at GLF Schools can be found here: http://www.glfschools.org/1232/governance-at-glf-schools

The three core functions of governance are:

1.  Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction

2.  Holding leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management, including well-being, of staff

3.  Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

It is therefore important that our SSB comprises the right people with the right skills to make appropriate and informed decisions for a school, taking into account the views of children and students, staff, parents and the local community.

Please see the attached document below for the members of our School Strategy Board.

Full, up to date information for all members over the last 12 months can be found through our website here.
