Autumn 1 | How can we reduce evaporation? (Water cycle and clay coiling skills). |
Autumn 2 | What was the impact of the Roman invasion on Britain? |
Spring 1 | What impact has engineering had on the lives of humans? (Victorian England, the British Empire and making electrical CAM toys). |
Spring 2 | How is Britain a product of invasion? (Vikings). |
Summer 1 | How are living things and their environment connected? |
Summer 2 | What is Africa like? |
Key days
PE - Wednesday
Spelling - Spelling test- Monday, 6 new spellings will be recorded in the children‘s spelling log book on Wednesday.
Reading books - When needed
Phonics/MTC/SATs information
Year 4 children will complete the statutory Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) between Monday 2nd June and Friday 13th June. The purpose of the MTC is to determine whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in mathematics. Further information about these assessments will follow later in the academic year.
