GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

For the last 2 weeks we have been playing #bbcthetraitors . It has been such fun: laughter, competition, riddles, evictions, banishments, shield finding, some lying (...), missions and more! Thank you to Miss Oake who has led 30 staff through this. The final is tomorrow. 4 Traitors have been discovered! There are 8 people left and there will be 2 people out tonight. Traitors day 1 and 2 has brought up a lot of discussion. The round table last night (on WhatsApp) was an interesting way to hear people's views. Yesterday's mischief by the Traitors was making the wrong drink for someone and today a mystery message was written on a whiteboard! But who has the shield? We have lost 2 Faithfuls so far. Thank you to Reigate Rugby Club whose excellent coaches have supported our junior PE lessons for the past year. On Friday the rugby coaches provided taster sessions for all children in years 1 to 6 as the Guinness Men's Six Nations began. Thank you for bringing a love of rubgy to our school. Active learning is a key part of all children's development. In Nursery the children enhance their gross motor skills in the outdoor provision, and throughout their discovery time. At our After School Club, Phoenix, we celebrated #InternationalLegoDay . We used Duplo & Lego for the children to play with and some build challenge cards, with other activities. The children made the tallest LEGO tower they could! They even managed to make a duplo block trail that went from one end of the club room to the other! Well done on the Lego Competition entries that have been sent in so far. The closing date is this Friday at 9am.
